Katrina Alix: has designed Gurnet Theatre Project’s productions of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead and Miss Julie. Other design credits include Words, Words, Words; Free Will & Wanton Lust; The Hairy Ape; and the world premiere of Charlotte the Destroyer. Her work has been seen at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and she will be making her NY debut in the summer of 2007, designing My Fair Heathen Production’s Accidental Death of an Anarchist. Ms. Alix holds a BA in Theatre Production from Northeastern University.

Katherine Anthony: is a recent graduate of Ithaca College where she received a Bachelor of Music in voice performance. Recent roles include Mrs. Grose in Britten's Turn of the Screw and Susanna in Mozart's Marriage of Figaro, both included in Ithaca College Opera Workshop scene presentations, and the role of Katie in the student film "Do The Math." Katie was the dramaturg for GTP's first production, The Illusion, in 2005 and is thrilled to return for their third summer production playing Amiens in As You Like It.

Carly Assael: is excited to be working with the Gurnet Theatre Project and former colleges on Miss Julie. She is a recent graduate of Northeastern University. Favorite roles at Universtiy include Cathy in Tales of the Lost Formicans, Sarah in Stop Kiss, Janice in Italian American Reconciliation, and Meredith in Playing by Heart. She has been involved in summer stock seasons at both the Mac-Haydn Theatre and with Park Play House II. She also spent a year interning at the New York State Theatre Institute. Carly sends her thanks to friends and family for making her laugh.

Jessica Bartlett: is a current sophomore at the University of Vermont studying English. She is a graduate of Duxbury High School where she was an active participant in the drama program. Favorite roles include Lubov in The Cherry Orchard, Margaret in Much Ado About Nothing, and Claire in Proof. As You Like It is her fourth appearance with Gurnet Theatre Project and she is thrilled to be a part of another GTP production. Francesca Bastianini: is a graduate of Smith College. She worked as a lighting designer, director and stage manager at Smith, and has also worked at the American Stage Festival in Nashua, NH, and the Teatro di Rifredi in Florence, Italy. Her lighting designs for theatre and dance include collaborations with the Brazz Dance Company. She received the Peggy Clark Kelley Design Prize for her design of Equus at Smith, which was included in the first World Stage Design exhibition.

Danielle Bauman: a native New Yorker, just graduated from Boston University with a BFA in acting. While at B.U. some of her favorite roles included: Anna in The Lower Depths and Jackie in Deathwish. Other theater credits include: Constanze in Amadeus (OLNEY Theater Co.), Eva in Snow Angel (Lincoln Center Directors Lab @ HERE), and Mrs. Saunders and The Soldier in Cloud 9 (Longwood Players). She has just recently sent her first play Little Red’s Dead to the New York Fringe Festival.

Liam Billingham: is excited to be playing Oliver this summer for GTP. A native of Duxbury, Liam has spent the last year honing his craft in Prague, Czech Republic. While overseas, he founded Rock in Shoe Theatre, whose inaugural production of Bertolt Brecht's The Exception and the Rule was selected for the Prague Fringe Festival. He has also directed for Prague Playhouse. Prior to leaving the states, Liam directed GTP's Waiting for Godot, and received a BA in Theatre from The University of New Hampshire. Previous directorial credits include: The Laramie Project, Copenhagen, Pterodactyls, Stop Kiss, and the original piece Meeting: The Writings of Martin Buber. Liam has also worked as an actor (primarily in Shakespeare) and as a lighting designer throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This fall, he will be assistant directing New Repertory's A Streetcar Named Desire, before crossing the pond once more. Many thanks to Brian, Kristen, and everyone involved with this show.

Courtney Branigan: is delighted to be making her Gurnet Theatre Project debut with As You Like It. Recent projects: The Women (Speakeasy Stage, winner of 5 IRNE awards including best ensemble and best production), Alais in The Lion in Winter, and Tina Howe’s Teeth. Past roles include: The Yellow Wallpaper (one-woman show and adaptation in Northampton, Massachusetts), Harper in Angels in America, and Desdemona in Othello. In her free time, Courtney teaches an audition workshop at the Boston Center for Adult Education, and obsessively tends her garden. Representative roles include Chaplain in A Clockwork Orange (Company One at the Boston Center for the Arts), Vladimir in Waiting for Godot (GTP), and Dr. Caligari in Caligari is Coming to Town (Northeastern University). His directorial credits include Nicky Silver’s Free Will & Wanton Lust for Northeastern University, and for GTP: Tony Kushner’s adaptation of Pierre Corneille’s The Illusion, Frank McGuinness’ new version of August Strindberg’s Miss Julie (MCC Gold Star nomination), the Boston premiere of Bert V. Royal’s Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead, and Kenneth Lonergan’s This Is Our Youth. Brian is currently in his first year of the MFA Drama and Theater For Youth program at the University of Texas at Austin. Adam Henry Garcia: has acted since the age of eleven, starting with an elementary school production of Oliver Twist as the good Doctor Grimwig. He has performed and studied at McCarter Regional Theatre in Princeton, New Jersey and The Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland. Some of his favorite roles include Joe Pitt in the Northeastern University production of Angels in America, Lucius in the Gotham Shakespeare Company production of Titus Andronicus and Alan Quevedo in the mockumentary feature film The Beverages. He was most recently seen as Paul Bratter in Bad Habit’s production of Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park. His favorite past role was Randle P. Rachael Hunt: is thrilled to be working with Gurnet Theatre Project. Most recently she appeared as Jen in Stars (SLAMBoston). Boston credits include Maureen Peal in The Bluest Eye (Company One), Waiting (New England Fringe Festival), and Lucy in Mr. Marmalade (Company One – IRNE nomination). She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Bard College, where she also studied dance intensively. Collegiate and New York credits include The Mike and Morgan Show, You Can See the Whole City, The long and short of it, Outside a Hospital, and The Vagina Monologues. Rachael received her theatre training at the Boston Arts Academy, where she performed in The Crucible (Mary Warren), Inner City Blues (Lady in Brown), The Colored Museum (Normal Jean Reynolds/ Medea), and Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Suzanne). She has also appeared in the 2nd annual African American Theatre Festival, and in The Bald Soprano (Newton Drama Training Institute). In her daytime life, Rachael works as an actor and educator with Urban Improv. Foster has worked with Another Country Productions, the Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, TSporadic Evolution, the Harvard French Farce Festival, and most recently with New Repertory Theatre assistant directing on the productions of Thom Pain, Orson's Shadow, and White People. Christian Kiley: is thrilled to be making second appearance with Gurnet Theatre Project, after playing Beethoven in Dog Sees God. He was seen recently as Seymour Krelborn in Animus Ensemble's Little Shop of Horrors at the Boston Center for the Arts' Plaza Theater. Locally, he has been involved in various productions with the Reagle Players and the Wellesley Players. He has been seen in many college films, as well as the defunct CBS sitcom Welcome to New York. Some of his favorite past roles are the Thief in Len Jenkin's Dark Ride, Otto in Nicky Silver's The Food Chain, and Orlando in As You Like It. Douglas F. Ladd: Doug is a DHS and Thespian Troupe #355 alumni. Since moving from Duxbury he has received a degree in acting, directing, and political science from Plymouth State University. He is currently on the executive board of the Sandwich Players and is a founding member of The Tabula Rasa Theatre Co. where he has directed and designed such shows as Lysistrata, Rocky Horror Show, Nunsense, and Triple Bluff. Doug has taught at the Drama Training Institute and toured Vermont with the Voices Program.

Hugh Lawton: is a classically trained actor from Ireland. He graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in 2001. Highlights of his career include playing Macbeth, and playing Romeo in the acclaimed production of Romeo na Juliet in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He also played the lead in Cuchulainn which toured Ireland for 9 months. He recently finished playing the parts of Joe and The Narrator in Brian Friel’s The Lovers for Saturnae Theatre Company in Dublin. He moved to the United States in October 2005.

Traci Lepore: Traci is a graduate of Fitchburg State College where besides studying Graphic Design she also studied theater, and performed in such productions as Love Letters, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Thornwood, and Tweltfh Night. Traci also recently performed in Acme Theater's New Works Winter Festival ('06) in Maynard, MA. She is excited to get back into theater after a break while beginning to work full time, and is especially excited that it is a Shakespeare production that is her reentry in the world of acting.

While he hasn’t appeared on stage since 2000, he has attended countless performances since then, including memorable ones from his good friends Brian Fahey and Gillian Mackay-Smith. He is proud to be a part of Gurnet Theatre Project, making sure the word gets out and the seats get filled. He received his BA in Communications with a minor in Business from Northeastern University in 2004. She recently completed work on her first film, The Beverages: Music for a New Degeneration. Favorite roles include Claire in Free Will & Wanton Lust at Northeastern University, Martha in A Piece of My Heart with Delvena Theatre Company, Lola in Damn Yankees and Adelaide in Guys and Dolls with Annisquam Village Players. Hillary Mackay-Smith: soprano, has studied music and applied voice for the past three years with mezzo-soprano and vocal coach Diana Jacklin, and collaborative pianist and diction specialist Elaine Smith Purcell. Hillary has performed many local recitals, as section leader/cantor in several churches, as well as in Symphony Hall in Boston with various choral groups. In 2004, she was awarded the Chancellor's Talent Award at UMass Amherst. She is currently studying English Literature and Philosophy in the Salem State College Honors Program.

A few favorite roles in between include Val in Neil Simon’s Laughter On the 23rd Floor, Cheswick in Dale Wasserman’s One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, George Deever in Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, and Benjamin Beaurevers in Harry Kurnitz’s A Shot In the Dark. Employed by Verizon Communications, David graduated from Clark University, where he concentrated in 18th- & 19th-Century European Intellectual History. As a diversion from his studies, he spent two summers away from campus undergoing rigorous training at the U.S. Marine Corps’ Basic Training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and at its Officer Candidates School at Quantico, Virginia.

Jonathan Popp: is thrilled to return to the BCA with Gurnet Theatre as Dennis Ziegler, after having appeared as Matt in Gurnet's Spring production of Dog Sees God. Other local credits include Funny Forum (Miles) and Unbound (Bones) with Boston Theatre Works; Distant Music (Dev Heart) with Image Theatre; The Grapes of Wrath (Tom Joad) with Stoneham Theatre; and Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse with North Shore Music Theatre. Jon is also an Actor in Residence for the Boston Playwrights' Platform. A graduate of Boston College, Jonathan has also studied with the British American Drama Academy in Oxford where he learned that fries are chips and chips are crisps. Steven Rossignol: is a 21 year old actor from the great state of Maine. He is very excited to be a part of the Gurnet Theatre Project. As an Emerson College acting student, he has recently played Eddie in Fool for Love, as well as Flute in A Midsummer Night's Dream. He aspires to be a successful entertainer for years to come, and hopes you will enjoy his work. Other favorite credits include Grease, Working, A Chorus Line, Grapes of Wrath, Chicago, and Company. Haley graduated from Emerson College in 2006 with a BFA in Musical Theatre and is happy to be back in Boston doing outdoor Shakespeare!

Abbe Scnhibbe: Abbe is a rising senior at Duxbury High School and has been looking forward to finally performing with GTP all year, having worked behind the scenes the past two summers on the productions of The Illusion and Much Ado About Nothing. Aside from acting, Abbe loves to read, sing, and be with her family. This year's production of As You Like It is especially exciting for her because it is the first time she will have worked under her sister Kristen as a "real" director. This is her third summer working with GTP and hopefully not her last. She wishes much peace and love to the rest of the cast, her friends, and her family, especially K.Schnib.

Kristen Schnibbe: Kristen is thrilled to be working with Gurnet Theatre Project for the third summer in a row. She graduated from Skidmore with a BS in Theatre and a concentration in Directing. Her previous directing credits include Overruled, My Name is Rachel Corrie, True Love (a movement piece using Shakespearean text), and Much Ado About Nothing, which she directed last summer with Gurnet Theatre Project. Kristen also spent a year studying Shakespeare in London with various members of the RSC and Shakespeare Institue. Susie Schutt: is pleased to be assistant directing Gurnet Theatre Project's Essential Self-Defense. She most recently stage managed Life in a Marital Institution and The Lady of Burma at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and The Footlight Club's award winning production of A Raisin in the Sun in Boston, Massachusetts. In 2005, Susie worked for Hoipolloi Theatre Company, New International Encounter Theatre Company, and Classworks Theatre Company, in Cambridge, U.K. In 2004, she graduated from the University of Michigan, where she pursued her passion by directing Picasso at the Lapin Agile and The Vagina Monologues. Acting credits at Michigan include Celia (As You Like It), Karen (Dinner with Friends), Halie (Buried Child), and Electra (Electra).

Michael Duncan Smith: is the Program Coordinator of Boston Playwrights’ Theatre, where he is responsible for much of the artwork and design associated with each production. Mike is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth where he received a BA in Humanities and Social Sciences with a focus in History and English. Mike’s acting credits include: As You Like It (Touchstone), Our Town (George Gibbs), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nick Bottom), Romeo and Juliet (The Nurse), The Marriage of Bette and Boo (Father Donnally), Laughter on the 23rd Floor (Max Prince), the Regional Premiere of Pound of Flesh (Pvt. Cooper) and many others. Mike has also performed in the SAS Playfest of World Premiere monologues and the Mt. Holyoke College German TheatreFest. Mike has several directing and assistant directing credits including: The Bald Soprano, Evita, Into the Woods and On Golden Pond. Mike is also the designer and webmaster of bostonplaywrights.org.

Colin Summers: Colin is real excited to be in Essential Self-Defense. A recent graduate from Emerson College, he was in the Publick Theater's Romeo and Juliet last summer and was a student teacher for a bunch of awesome kids in Roxbury this fall. He rounds out his time writing and playing music with his band "My Friend Other."

Dana S. Tellier: Dana is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire's Theatre & Dance program, where he had the good fortune to be involved in many diverse productions, playing characters such as Pisanio in Shakespeare's Cymbeline, and Major Sergius Saranoff in Arms and the Man. He was also director and performer in a self-written piece entitled Nine of Swords. Somehow, Dana found the time to be involved with UNH's extracurricular theatre group, Mask & Dagger. There, he performed in several excellent student-run productions, playing Dr. Huml in Vaclav Havel’s The Increased Difficulty of Concentration, Prior Walter in Angels in America: Millenium Approaches, as well as performing in the ensemble production The Laramie Project, taking on the daunting roles of Dennis Shepard and Rev. Fred Phelps, among others. He has also performed professionally at the Rochester Opera House in New Hampshire, playing the role of Horatio in Hamlet.

Lillian Webster: Lillian Webster is a local resident and artist whose creative pursuits include illustration, tattoo design, and craftsmaking. She had the pleasure of creating promotional art for Gurnet Theatre Project's production of The Illusion, as well as designing a kite for the Duxbury Rotary Club's "First Free Library for Women in Kabul" benefit, and most recently was asked to create the promotional poster for Waiting for Godot. Lillian looks forward to future projects in partnership with GTP.

Lauren Alexandra Wood: a Pennsylvania native, and upcoming senior at The Boston Conservatory, is thrilled to be playing Celia in As You Like It. She most recently appeared as a Factory Girl in Parade at Speakeasy Stage Company in Boston.
